About this Opportunity
Support Tecate Horse Rescue in caring for horses who have experienced poor treatment and/or were at-risk of euthanasia. Their large property in east county, about 50 minutes from downtown San Diego is a refuge for horses in need. Volunteers provide food and clean water to their rescued horses, mules, and ponies in addition to cleaning the space.
After instruction, volunteers will ensure that each of the horse corrals are free of manure and that their water trough is clean, fresh, and full. This means that volunteers will be using a manure fork and wheelbarrow to remove the manure. Volunteers will then rinse and/or scrub the water trough and fill it.
