Delivery Team Leaders

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads, yet across the United States, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors, which can affect their happiness and health. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to these children and families in need.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace's Westchester Chapter is seeking a Delivery Team Lead to help further its mission by successfully and compassionately delivering and assembling beds in the homes of applicants.

Delivery Team Lead requirements:

• Communicate with Applications Team Lead about upcoming deliveries
• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with deliveries
• Prepare needed bed components and bedding required for upcoming deliveries
• Prepare the delivery kit with required tools and supplies for deliveries
• Interact with applicants and their families in a compassionate manner
• Communicate with Applications Team Lead once deliveries are complete to ensure case is closed correctly
• Believe in the mission that "No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!"

Delivery Team Lead skillsets:

• Effective communication between team members, volunteers, and applicants
• Ability to train volunteers on the proper assembly of beds
• Ability to effectively communicate the organization's philosophy and process to volunteers who participate in deliveries
