Application Team Leaders

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads, yet across the United States, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors, which can affect their happiness and health. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to these children and families in need.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace's Westchester Chapter is seeking an Application Team Lead to help further its mission by implementing a local plan for vetting applications and assisting in the scheduling and delivery of beds to children in the chapter's service area.

Application Team Lead requirements:

• Develop and implement a plan to vet applicants and determine delivery priorities
• Develop and manage a team to assist in the vetting of applicants and case management
• Assist in the recruitment and training of delivery team leads
• Work to establish relationships with local advocates and agencies serving children in the chapter service area (DFS, CPS, CASA, school counselors, refugee organizations, etc.)
• Create delivery sheets to be used by Delivery Team Leads
• Believe in the mission that "No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!"

Application Team Lead skillsets:

• Ability to work and communicate with diverse populations in a compassionate manner
• Ability to recruit and train Application Team members to screen and interact compassionately with applicants and their families
• Ability to operate within the organization's software systems to effectively serve applicants and maintain accurate records
• Communicate with Delivery Team Leads on upcoming deliveries and requirements for those deliveries
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and text with applicants
• Explain the organization's mission and set delivery expectations
