Touch-A-Truck 2025 with REACH, Inc.

🕒 Time Commitment: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Join REACH, Inc. at the 10th Annual Touch-A-Truck hosted by the Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach! This fun, family-friendly event gives children a hands-on opportunity to explore vehicles of all types, and we’re excited to bring the joy of reading into the mix!

Volunteer Duties Include:

• Distributing free books to children and families

• Engaging with event attendees in a friendly, welcoming manner

• Sharing information about REACH, Inc.’s mission and programs

• Helping set up or pack down materials at our tent/table (as needed)

This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic, people-friendly volunteers who love kids, books, and community engagement! All materials will be provided, and a quick orientation will be given on-site.

What to Wear: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and shoes (This is an OUTSIDE event). A REACH t-shirt (if you have one) or a plain shirt is perfect!

How to sign-up:

- Select the Date and Shift you would like to volunteer through the Volunteer Hampton Roads platform.
- Individuals aged 16 and older are welcome (16 - 17 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present).
- If you can no longer participate, please remove yourself a minimum of 48 hours prior to the event to open space for another volunteer.

💌 Recognition and Community Service Letters:
We require a minimum of SIX (6) combined service hours for service letters. Same-day requests not accepted. Allow 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS for us to prepare your letter.
