Seeking Experienced Volunteer Engagement Specialist

The Underline is looking for a skilled Volunteer Engagement Specialist to help us take our volunteer program to the next level. We’re seeking someone with experience in building or managing volunteer programs who can help review our current efforts, identify areas for growth, and assist in developing a comprehensive engagement strategy.

Key Support Areas:

• Evaluate the current structure and volunteer lifecycle

• Recommend improvements to onboarding, training, and retention

• Help develop clear policies, communications, and engagement workflows

• Collaborate with staff to implement sustainable program improvements

• Advise on strategies to make volunteer opportunities more inclusive and accessible to diverse community members

Ideal Volunteer:

• Has prior experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit operations, or HR

• Understands best practices in volunteer engagement

• Can dedicate a few flexible hours per week or month (remote or hybrid options available)
