About this Opportunity
We are in need of Rice Socks! If you would like to make your own and donate them see below for instructions. Or if you have supplies laying around you can drop off at the shelter. These socks are used for recovery after surgery and to help little babies regulate their body temperature. They are very simple to do:
- Fill a clean cotton sock, such as a crew, knee-high, or tube sock, about halfway with rice. You can use a spoon or funnel to fill the sock.
- Leave enough room at the top of the sock to close it.
- You can sew it shut, tie it with a rubber band or string, or use hem tape
