Create Rice Socks for Solano County Animal Services

The Solano Sheriff's Office Animal Services are in need of Rice Socks. We would love for you to make your own and donate them (see instructions below). Or, if you have supplies laying around, you can drop off at the shelter. Our hours are Tues-

These socks are usued for recovery after surgery and to help lil babies regulate their body temperature.

It's very simple to do:

• Fill a clean cotton sock, such as a crew, knee-high, or tube sock, about halfway with rice. You can use a spoon or funnel to fill the sock.
• Leave enough room at the top of the sock to close it.
• You can sew it shut, tie it with a rubber band or string, or use hem tape.
