About this Opportunity

Brief Organizational Description:

The Unique Resouce Center, also known as Sarah's Den, operates a powerful dual-service model: meeting people in crisis today while investing in their transformation tomorrow. Our free clothing closet and emergency food pantry meet people in crisis with dignity and no barriers. The Social Work Intern Program pairs community members with trained interns who help navigate housing, healthcare, and employment systems — while developing the next generation of human services professionals. Sarah's Den Thrift Store funds it all, making every donation and purchase a direct act of community investment. And lastly, our Work Readiness and Mentorship Program provides paid internships, job skills training, and consistent mentorship for youth aging out of foster care — working alongside partners connected to Virginia's Fostering Futures program to serve young people who are navigating life's hardest transition, often without family support.
