Brief Organizational Description:
Our thrift store focuses on supporting those in need in the city of Richmond with low cost quality clothing, an emergency food pantry, and a safe, loving environment.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
We need kind volunteers to man our store, help with sales, sort donations, clean, and organize our store.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteer will sort and count donations, complete sales on the point of sale register, organize merchandise, engage with customers in the store, prepare free items for individuals and families, or share a kind word of encouragment to those who stop in.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Retail or customer service skills would come in handy but not required; compassion and patience a must; good organizational skills preferred.
Time Commitment:
There is one shift available on Fridays.
- Shift 1 - 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Other Information (if applicable):
- Sign into the volunteer log upon arrival
- You will be trained to run the register and given orientation prior to your start.
- Casual/business casual attire
- Parking available on the street
- Wear comfortable shoes, bring a jacket or sweater to layer if needed
