Online Tutor for High School Equivalency

Are you looking for a meaningful way to share your knowledge and help others advance their education? If you have access to a computer, reliable internet, and 2 hours each week to meet with a student, then this is for you!

Begin Anew is a faith-based nonprofit offering educational programs to empower individuals to overcome obstacles created by poverty. Through our online campus, we provide High School Equivalency preparation, along with mentoring and access to supportive resources.

High School Equivalency Tutors will:

• Assist adult students one-on-one or in small groups as they work toward a High School Equivalency diploma, focusing on Math, Reading, Language, Social Studies, and Science
• Develop encouraging, supportive relationships with students
• Uphold the mission and vision of Begin Anew

Previous tutoring experience is helpful but not required. We’re looking for volunteers with a willingness to serve and a desire to help others succeed. This position requires completion of an application and background check. Training and resources will be provided by the Program Manager.
