Vice President of Fundraising/Book Sales

Brief Organizational Description: 

The Friends of the Chesterfield County Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, community-based group that supports Chesterfield County Public Library programs and community events. Our mission focuses on promoting our public libraries as vibrant centers for enrichment.

Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:

The Friends Board of Directors is the decision-making body that determines ways in which the Friends will support the mission of the Chesterfield County Public Library. The Friends are looking for an enthusiastic, library-loving volunteer for the board position of Vice President of Fundraising/Book Sales. The Vice President of Fundraising/Book Sales will help coordinate fundraisers and identify new opportunities to generate income for the Friends. They will also help coordinate online and in-person book sales. This is an important position with voting responsibility.

Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:

Prior fundraising experience is prefered, but not required. Interested candidates will participate in a brief interview.

Time Commitment:

The Vice President of Fundraising/Book Sales should be able to commit approximately 3-5 hours a week to their role over a two-year term. They would be expected to attend virtual monthly board meetings (typically on the second Monday of the month).
