About this Opportunity
Wekiva River Aquatic Preserve:Springs, large and small, bubble up from deep within the limestone labyrinth that underlies Central Florida, forming creeks and rivers that wind for miles through forested floodplains and swamps where birds and bears, alligators and manatees live.
Volunteers assist with TSA/NAFTRG turtle research (paddling canoes); Annual bridges cleanup for Black Water Creek and the Wekiva River; Assist with AP office tasks and maintenance; Assist with educational programs and outreach.
