2026 CCCS Bronx Center Welcome Desk Volunteer

Catholic Charities Community Services Bronx Center serves as a central hub for multiple programs and a wide range of services. As the primary Bronx location, the Center provides essential support to the community through key initiatives including Feeding Our Neighbors, which operates both a food pantry and food distribution hub, as well as Immigration and Refugee Services, Case Management, SNAP enrollment assistance, and Eviction Prevention programs.

As a volunteer, you will:

• Provide general information to clients about available services and programs

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with the intercom system to grant entry

• Greet and assist clients with scheduled appointments

• Welcome walk-in clients and help direct them to the appropriate services

Qualifications and skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual English/Spanish volunteers encouraged

Schedule:
The following shifts are available on Wednesdays and Fridays:

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Service runs March through December 2026
