About this Opportunity
Opportunity Overview:
Millborn Farm hosts historic stone walls that have been grown over with invasive plants, presenting an opportunity to restore these historic features for the site's opening in June of 2026. Volunteers are needed to help restore these historical features and preserve local biodiversity by removing invasive plant species. These species include oriental bittersweet and garlic mustard. We are looking to remove as many intruders as possible along the trails of the 195-acre property and will need the help of motivated volunteers!
Weekly sessions will be held from March to June 2026, on Saturdays and Thursdays. If interested, volunteers will have the opportunity to lead sessions or conduct removal operations on their own time as well. Come to one session, join us for the season, or anywhere in between!
Volunteers will receive training on invasive species, Millborn farm site details, and the goals of the project in advance of volunteering.
Benefits:
- Support local biodiversity and restore historic stone walls
