Support Seniors with Grocery Plus Join the team at the East Capitol Walk-In Center and help us serve seniors enrolled in the Grocery Plus program! As a volunteer, you'll be essential in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for participants. Your efforts directly help older adults receive the nutritious food they need.

Volunteer duties may include: •
Warmly greeting participants and their proxies. • Loading food boxes (approx. 30–35 lbs.) into shopping carts. • Restocking fresh produce and food boxes. • Assisting participants with loading their groceries into their vehicles as needed. Your help makes a real difference! We're looking for 1- 2 volunteers during the busiest times of the month, which are the first two weeks.

Location: East Capitol Walk-In Center, 5601 East Capitol St SE, Washington DC 20019, corner of 55th St SE and East Capitol St SE, located within DC Scholars PCS. Parking: Street parking available and volunteers may use the DC Scholars PCS parking lot behind the building (access from 55th St SE). Attire: Comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes
