Location: Delhi NCR (In-person at partnered schools)

Role Summary:

Parwarish Cares Foundation is seeking empathetic and dedicated Counseling Volunteers to support emotional well-being and mental health awareness among school children. Volunteers will work closely with school staff and the Parwarish team to conduct counseling sessions, offer emotional support, and refer students to appropriate help when necessary.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a background in psychology, mental health, or counseling, who are passionate about working with children and adolescents in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual or group counseling sessions with school students as per identified needs

  • Address issues related to emotional regulation, anxiety, bullying, peer relationships, self-esteem, etc.

  • Coordinate with teachers and school staff to identify students requiring intervention

  • Maintain confidential records of sessions and submit periodic reports to the Parwarish team

  • Assist in conducting awareness workshops for students, parents, and teachers on mental health and child safety

  • Refer students to professional services if advanced support is required

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Education

  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents (voluntary or professional) preferred

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Empathetic, non-judgmental, and emotionally mature

  • Comfortable working in school environments and adapting to diverse student needs

  • Fluency in Hindi is essential; English is a plus
