About this Opportunity

St. Vincent de Paul's three urban farms provide 33,000 pounds of produce, which helps feed individuals and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. Join us to help with the care and maintenance of the Key Campus Urban Farm! Activities may include weed & grass removal, watering, trash removal, turning compost, harvesting, planting, and chicken care.
Please be prepared to work hard, break a sweat, and get dirty! While there are outdoor AC units available for cooling breaks at the farm, volunteers will be working in the heat to assist with some critical projects.
Please wear Closed-toe shoes, and clothes that can get dirty. Bring SPF and a reusable water bottle.
Please Note: Volunteers serving court-ordered or any kind of required volunteer hours must register directly through St. Vincent de Paul and attend a virtual orientation before being scheduled to volunteer.
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 8 with a parent or guardian. All Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who aren't attending a project with a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian, to each project.
If you would like to register your child, please email the opportunity coordinator listed below and ask to reserve a guest slot. Please note, volunteers 13 years or older can create their own HandsOn account and sign up for opportunities directly (activation fee is not applicable for those under the age of 16).
