About

SVdP works to Feed, Clothe, House, & Heal those in need. Our volunteers serve as our staff – they are part of our family. We believe and choose to live in a world where we’re all in it together, where inter-dependence is the way our community works best. We have 25 different program areas and locations where volunteers are needed, including our industrial kitchen, our 3 Urban Farms, our 5 dining rooms, and so much more. We welcome those of varying ages to serve as volunteers – some of our programs accept volunteers as young as 5 years old. Volunteers are needed 365 days per year.

Mission Statement

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is dedicated to feeding, clothing, housing, and healing individuals and families in our community who have no where else to turn for help. As important, SVdP provides meaningful opportunities for volunteers to serve their neighbors in need with love and compassion. SVdP has been serving our community throughout central and northern Arizona since 1946, and our programs include services for the homeless, medical and dental care for the working poor, charity dining rooms that serve thousands each day, food boxes for hungry families, thrift stores through the region, a bridge housing shelter, and general assistance for individuals in need. We provide help for people’s physical, mental, and spiritual needs. By doing this with care and respect, we show them that they matter and they are children of God.
