Foster Care & Adoption Advisory Council Member

The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Program of the Lehigh Valley is seeking individuals to join our advisory council. The purpose of the Advisory Council is to support and advance the mission of The Salvation Army Foster Care and Adoption Program. This Council is dedicated to supporting the children and families serviced through the Foster Care and Adoption Program through building community awareness, networking, fundraising, and volunteering efforts. 

We believe every child deserves a safe, loving caring home and we work to find homes and families for local children in the foster care system or who are waiting to be adopted. Our program’s mission statement is Doing the Most Good by Nurturing Children, Strengthening Families & Engaging Communities, and as part of our Advisory Council, you can have a powerful impact on the lives of foster and adoptive children and families in our community. 

Members of the Advisory Council will share their gifts in service to our mission by providing our organization with their professional expertise; diverse knowledge of constituent perspectives; connections to local resources, colleagues or peers; philanthropic support and other forms of needed assistance.

Meetings are held every other month in the morning at our office. Please consider this opportunity to help us serve this vulnerable population in our community.
