About this Opportunity

Join us at the Museum of Indian Culture's 45th annual Roasting Ears of Corn Festival, August 16-17, 2025.

This is Pennsylvania's oldest Native American festival that needs extra hands, especially at our Children's Activity Area.   This is a great opportunity for those who love arts and crafts!

At the Children's Activity Area, there is lots do!  Children experience making Native American inspired crafts like "wampum" bracelets, gourd rattles, totem poles, medicine bags, drums, etc and painting the Roasting Ears of Corn Festival Mural.

As a Children's Activity Area volunteer you assist children with making crafts or help painting the mural, when necessary; and help keep the areas tidy.   Volunteers are asked to dress weather appropriate, wear sturdy shoes, and sunscreen.        We provide food for our volunteers and free time to enjoy the activities! All activities held outdoors - Native American singing, dancing, demonstrations, storytelling, crafts, food, and more.
