About this Opportunity
Cycling and Mountain Biking Peer Partners are volunteers assisting our cycling and mountain biking programs who are ages 12-16 years old. You will assist our Recreation Instructors in facilitating bikes programming. You will learn how to assist participants of all abilities to learn how to independently ride a bike or adaptive cycle, socialize with others their age and enjoy being in the outdoors. You will be responsible for safety, group management, and encouraging participant engagement in the bike programs. In order to attend this training you must be able to independently ride a road or mountain bike. For mountain bikers, you must be comfortable riding a blue trail and confidently ride around berms and bumps without falling. For road cyclists, you must be able to comfortable ride up to 10 miles without stopping.
