Spread Positivity with Sidewalk Chalk Art and Words of Affirmation

This is a self- driven project. Very important. This is why it's very important to take pictures 

Bring your friends and family to help write uplifting messages on the sidewalks of Norfolk and Norview Elementary School.

Let’s fill our parks with encouragement, love, and joy! You can choose any elementary school as well. Be creative in where you decide to write your message. The point is to spread love in our community. 

What to Bring:

• Chalk - you can pick up chalk from Walmart or Dollar Tree
• Positive energy and creativity
• Friends and family to join in the fun
• Your phone or camera to take pictures!

Messages you can write: 

• "You are enough just as you are!”
• “Spread kindness like confetti!”
• “Believe in yourself; you’re amazing!”
• “Today is a great day to smile!”
• “You make the world a better place!”
• “Chase your dreams; they’re waiting for you!”
• “Be the reason someone smiles today!”
• “Your happiness is contagious—share it!”
• “Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day!”
• “You’ve got this—keep shining!”

Please include the name Auntie Advocate on the sidewalk messages 

Why Participate?

• Volunteer Hours: Earn 2 hours of community service for your participation.You must send 15 pictures or more of your work. This is very important. Please create 15 different pictures.  The pictures must be creative. Please use more than just words. Please include the #AuntieAdvocate on all work unless we will not be able to verify the work is apart of the same project.
• Community Impact: Help brighten someone’s day with your positive messages.
• Fun: Enjoy a day outdoors with loved ones while making a difference!

Pick a date that works for you or your group and sign up to let us know you’re coming!

• Take plenty of pictures and share your favorite messages on social media using the hashtag #AuntieAdvocate.
• Let’s make our community a little brighter, one message at a time!
