Serving Sunday with Auntie Advocate at MLK Park

Every Sunday, Spread Love at MLK Park!

Join us in partnership with Bruce Jones Love Ministry, making a difference for the less fortunate in Norfolk, VA. Every Sunday, at MLK Park, from 11:30-2:30 PM, we come together to serve 75-100 individuals with open hearts and warm meals. This is an outside activity. Please remember if you sign up we depend on our volunteers so we can run a smooth operation on Sunday. Please keep your commitment to serve. 

This is your chance to **contribute through outside volunteering and experience the power of collective kindness. Serving with love is contagious, let's share it with our community!

Here's how you can be a part of this Sunday tradition:

In order for us to approve your attendance please send a picture to 757-632-5697 with proof of participation during Serving Sunday. We also use the material to post on Social Media so we can spread this positive message to the public. This is a very important step. Please also post to your social media page and tag Auntie Advocate. 

• Volunteer your time: Join us at MLK Park and lend a hand in serving lunch. Every role, big or small, makes a difference.
• Provide essential items: If you can't stay, support our cause by donating forks, to-go plates, or hot food prepared for Sundays.
• Please take a picture or video while serving so we can post to our social media page. Text video or picture to 757-632-5697. You can also email them to [email protected] - This is very important so we can continue to spread the word about the ministry
• Remember: Love shines through! Wear a yellow, orange, or green shirt to show your Auntie Advocate spirit while serving.
• WE ARE IN NEED OF HOT PREPARED FOOD EVERY WEEK. ALL FOOD IS DONATED 
• Food items we need are: Large Pans of Rice, Mash Potatoes, Corn, Green Beans, Mac and Chz, Pasta Salad, - Any side dish is ok as long as it can serve 30-60 people. We are grateful for any food we are given.
