Social Media / Photography (Woodbine)

Are you looking for a place to make an impact in the lives of adult students and volunteers through photography, video, and social media? Then this is for you!

Begin Anew is a faith-based education program working to empower individuals to overcome obstacles created by poverty. We provide High School Equivalency test prep, English Learning in 3 levels, and Computer and Job skills classes, as well as mentoring and access to resources. For us to reach as many people as possible, we need Social Media volunteers who will help us capture and caption moments in our campuses that we can share online.

Social media and Photography Volunteers will:
Confirm photo permissions for students, volunteers, and children, or have them sign a same-day waiver.
Take photos and videos of students based on provided social media prompts using either the Program Managers phone or volunteer's personal equipment.
Upload those photos/videos for posting by our Office and Marketing Manager.

Previous experience with photography is helpful, but not necessary.

Our Woodbine location offers classes on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. We ask that our volunteers commit to one class per week for the duration of a semester. 

This position requires volunteers to complete an application and pass a background check.  Training and resources will be provided to you by the Program Manager.
