About this Opportunity
Love the great outdoors and serving the community? Our organization is seeking volunteer gardeners-groundskeeper to keep our grounds maintained on a daily basis and looking sharp for the community in which we serve. Responsiblilites will be maintaining gardens around the facility and landscaped areas.
Duties will include planting, pruning, raking, maintaining plants and monitoring the health of plants, etc.
• Planting all types of plants, including flowers, shrubs and trees
• Maintaining plants by watering, fertilizing and trimming them
• Using and maintaining gardening tools and light gardening machinery
• Identifying and treating diseases, pest infestations and other issues with garden plants
• Cleaning up garden areas
• Providing recommendations for gardens
• Handling edging, mulching and other garden tasks
• Following safety guidelines for applying chemicals and using equipment
If you have this experience in this field and would like to assist our organization, please conact us to schedule a 2 hour orientation interview. Applications will be taken on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am. Adult applicants will also be required to undergo fingerprints the same day (off-site) which is a $30 fee. (Minors will not have to undergo a background check).
