About this Opportunity
Do you have the skills in Human Resources? Are you an organized person and want to learn human resource skills? A Human Resources (HR) Assistant volunteer is a certified professional who handles the daily administrative and HR duties of an organization. They assist HR managers with recruitment, record maintenance, and provide clerical support to all employees. You will assist in recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing workers. You may also handle employee relations, benefits, and training.
Our organization is in need of a Human Resources Assistant Volunteer who is willing to stay long term, if you have experience in this field and love serving the community and children this would be the right place for you.
- Supports human resources processes by conducting orientation, maintaining records and information.
- Welcomes new staff members to the organization by conducting orientation.
- Provides information by collecting time and attendance records.
- Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data.
- Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
- Organizes work.
- Answers the telephone, and relays messages.
- Maintains staff confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Keep accurate and up to date databases, collaborate and communicate with different volunteer and intern agencies.

We will train you with our onboarding process.
Whether you have experience or if you just need to learn new skills and would like to assist our organization, please contact us to schedule a 2-hour orientation interview. Orientations are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am and lasts until 12pm. Adult applicants will also be required to undergo fingerprints the same day (off-site) which is a $30 fee.(Minors will not have to undergo a background check).
