Open Chess - Activity Assistant (QPL)

SUMMARY
The Rochdale Village Library Branch is seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant for Open Chess sessions. Responsibilities include:

• Supervising Chess sessions
• Assisting players
• Managing supplies and equipment
• Setting up and cleaning up
• Promoting a positive atmosphere

Volunteers will arrive early to assist the set-up of board games and assist Library staff in putting away materials at the end of the program.


REQUIREMENTS

• 21 years old and older 
• Strong knowledge of chess
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to teach beginner to intermediate level play
• Good communication and time management skills

SCHEDULE
Thursdays: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Must be available the last thursday of each month at the time stated above.


ADDITIONAL NOTES

This is an in-person project.  Individuals, 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
