About this Opportunity

Life-changing role models needed!

Tutoring Chicago is a free one-to-one tutoring program for students in grades 1-10.

During the 2025-2026 school year, Tutoring Chicago will offer both in-person and digital tutoring options to our tutors/students from late September to late May.

Tutors are methodically matched one-to-one with a student to work with and support their academic goals and progression within 1 of our 4 programs by way of in-person or virtual sessions. Tutors are given the opportunity to select the program, grade level, tutoring site, evening and method. Tutors are given the tools, training, resources, materials and support to guide their sessions regardless of previous experience. All tutors deliver the power of education and have the opportunity to impact, inspire and empower.

In-person tutoring is offered at the following locations:

CTA Red, Brown, Purple, #8, #74. Free parking in a garage under the building.

  • Near West Side/West Loop at The Salvation Army Community Center, 1 N Ogden Ave.

CTA Green, and Pink, #9, #20. Free parking in the lot.

CTA Green, #29, #55. Free parking in the lot.

No special skills, no experience or background in education is necessary. Above all the willingness to be there and the desire to impact, inspire and empower a student. Being present is all it takes. One and a half hours per week is enough to change a kid's life.
