Impact: With your time, skills, and commitment to combating food insecurity, we can continue making a meaningful and positive impact on the health and wellbeing of seniors and low-income residents in our community. We need YOU now, more than ever!

Our mission is to create a healthier, more inclusive, and deeply connected Portland where adults 55 and older thrive through innovative programming, compassionate support services, and person-centered care.

Through delivering and distributing food to some of the most vulnerable populations in Portland, volunteers will experience the immense impact and importance of food security programs. Depending on their assignment, volunteers may have the chance to engage directly with the residents receiving the food donations, creating stronger interpersonal connections with their community.

Volunteers in these roles need a personal vehicle and the ability to lift boxes of food ranging from 5-25 lbs.

Opportunity Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
