The Community for Positive Aging (CfPA)—formerly the Hollywood Senior Center—is on a bold path of growth, innovation, and transformation. As we move forward with our mission, we are looking for dedicated, visionary leaders to join our Board of Directors and help us shape a future where aging is not just supported, but celebrated.

Your voice will help shape our evolving strategies and ensure that we continue to build a community where aging is seen as a positive and vibrant chapter of life.

The Community for Positive Aging (CfPA) has been a trusted resource for older adults in Portland for decades. We offer a wide range of programs and services aimed at improving the lives of seniors, fostering intergenerational connections, and advocating for systemic change in the way society views and supports aging. We are dedicated to empowering older adults to lead healthy, active, and engaged lives, and we are committed to breaking down the barriers that often isolate seniors from the broader community.

 

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome community members from all backgrounds, experiences, and expertise. However, we’re particularly eager to connect with individuals who bring skills in the following areas:
Fundraising & Development
- Finance & Accounting
- Human Resources
- Marketing & Strategic Communications
- Nonprofit Leadership & Organizational Growth

 

Additionally, we deeply value individuals with lived experience and a strong commitment to:

As a CfPA Board Member, You Will:
- Help shape the future of a growing, mission-driven organization.
- Provide strategic direction and ensure community impact.
- Participate in planning, committee work, and signature events.
- Support organizational sustainability through fundraising, partnerships, and advocacy.
