About this Opportunity

Family Services of Westchester is looking for Volunteer Classroom Assistants for its Prime Time centers in White Plains. Volunteers will support the Head Teacher in addressing the needs of each individual child as well as assist in classrooms with activities such as:

  • Playtime and circle time
  • Mealtime and snack time
  • Naps and toileting
  • Health and safety guidelines
  • Outdoor and water play

Background checks will be required for all volunteers.

  • Founded in 1954, Family Services of Westchester (FSW) is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian social services agency that provides mental health and social services to strengthen and support families, children, and individuals at every stage of their lives. FSW's Prime Time is a special education program that offers diagnostic, remedial, and preventative services to preschool children (ages 3-5) with developmental and/or learning disabilities. FSW has been running this program for over 20 years.
