English Language Teacher (Franklin)

We are looking forward to another great year of learning at the Franklin Campus of Begin Anew! We will be providing High School Equivalency tutoring and testing, English Language Learning (3 levels), Computer and Job Skills classes, Community Groups, as well as mentoring and access to resources. We offer classes at this campus on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. We also offer English Language classes on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings.

Begin Anew is a faith-based education program working to empower individuals to overcome obstacles created by poverty. Do you have one night a week (2 hours) to teach English to adult students? We ask that our volunteers make a commitment for one semester. Here’s what our English Language teachers do:

• Provide effective instruction in English to a group of students at beginner, intermediate or advanced level using provided online platform.
• Develop relationships with students.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and statement of faith of Begin Anew

 
Previous teaching experience is helpful but not required. We are just looking for a willingness to serve and a desire to help others achieve their goals. This position requires volunteers to complete an application and pass a background check. Training and resources will be provided by the Program Manager.
