Birthday Celebration Volunteers for Older Adults

DOROT Westchester's Birthday Revelers Program provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to socialize with older adults in Westchester. Birthday Revelers can bring a birthday package of a card, cupcake, and gift (provided by DOROT) to the home of the older adults they're matched with and stay for a social visit.

Volunteer requirements:

• Must be 18+ to volunteer
• Volunteers 13+ may be signed up as part of an adult's family, group or team and must be accompanied by said adult, parent or guardian during the activity
• Must complete a 15-minute orientation via Zoom
• Must have valid government-issued ID

DOROT alleviates social isolation among older adults and provides services to help them live independently as valued members of the community. It serves the Jewish and wider community, bringing the generations together in a mutually beneficial partnership of older adults, volunteers, and professionals.
