About this Opportunity
Support vulnerable individuals by providing essential services and compassionate care in a shelter setting.
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to join our team as Resident Services Assistants. In this hands-on role, you will directly support shelter residents by providing crisis response, distributing essential supplies, and helping to maintain a safe, respectful environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation support

Offer information and referrals to community resources and emergency shelters
-
Stock shelter supplies, clean communal living areas, and assist with food preparation
-
Distribute hygiene products and deliver supplies to shelter hotel guests
-
Respond to crisis situations with calm, professionalism, and conflict-resolution strategies

Ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all clients
Skills & Qualifications:
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, caring attitude

Must be able to safely operate a company van (valid driver’s license required)

Comfortable interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences
