About this Opportunity

 Make a meaningful impact in your community by helping individuals and families secure stable housing. 

We are currently seeking compassionate, organized, and motivated volunteers to serve as Housing Specialists/Case Managers. This role is ideal for individuals who want to gain experience in social services, housing support, or case management while making a difference in the lives of others. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Communicate effectively with program participants, landlords, and staff 

  • Attend staff meetings and maintain accurate case notes 

  • Assist housing program applicants in identifying and securing affordable housing 

  • Learn and follow proper procedures for reporting on client progress 

  • Support participants with empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities 

  • Comfortable using computers, including spreadsheets and word processing software 

  • Respectful and understanding of diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds 

  • Professional demeanor and a reassuring presence in interaction
