About this Opportunity
At United Way Suncoast, our focus on Educational Opportunity, Financial Security and Community Resiliency creates an interconnected path that empowers individuals with the Freedom To Rise. Our goal is to uplift ALICE families - Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed - as they cultivate a future beyond the circumstantial constraints put on them.
This month, we invite you to volunteer your time by creating Food Support Kits for families across our Suncoast Region. These kits provide easy-to-prepare meals for children for times when they don't have access to school-provided food.
How to Volunteer:
1. Let Us Know: Click "express interest" below to let us know you plan to participate- no further sign-up needed!
2. Assemble Your Kits: Each kit should include nutritious, non-perishable food items. View this Food Support Kit guide for suggested items and step by step instructions. We recommend a minimum of 20 kits.
3. Coordinate Your Drop-off: Once your kits are ready, email us at [email protected] to let us know quantity and type of kit you created. We'll schedule an in-person drop off at one of our locations in Bradenton or Tampa (appointment required).
4. Log Your Volunteer Time: Submit your volunteer time through this form.
Thank you for being a part of the change. Together, we can make a lasting impact—one kit, one family, one future at a time.
