Your Meal Donation Can Make a Difference. Village Family

Every day, in the heart of our community, there are children, seniors, veterans, and families who face a constant battle against hunger, homelessness, and the harsh realities of financial hardship. These resilient individuals are our neighbors, our friends, and they need our help. Today, I reach out to you with an urgent request help us bring warmth and hope to 100+ families this season! Village Family Quality Food Community Resource Center needs your support. We're seeking hot meal preparers, caterers, and sponsors to bring joy, nourishment, and essentials to children, seniors, and families facing food insecurity and hardship. Together, let’s make this holiday brighter for those in need.

By providing nutritious and ready-to-eat meals, we address the immediate hunger needs of those battling food insecurities. Through this program, we ensure that every child, every senior, every veteran, and every struggling family has access to healthy sustenance, regardless of their circumstances. We believe that no one should have to face an empty stomach or endure the pangs of hunger.

Most Needed Items:  100+  Prepared / Sponsored -- Catered Dishes and/or Meals

• spaghetti / pasta tomato- alfredo sauce dinners 
• chicken dinners, salads, sandwiches etc 
• Single-Serve and Ready-to-Eat Items: 
• Food Boxes (Eg. WaWa, Jason Deli, Wegmans) 
  • Bottled water or single-serve flavored water with no added sugar.
  • 100% fruit juice boxes or pouches (with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners).
  • Healthy snacks: Granola bars, trail mix, dried fruit, and low-sugar fruit cups.

These items can be purchased from your favorite discount store (eg. Walmart, Dollar Tree, Target etc.) or 

You can also select items from registries to have your donations sent directly to Village Family.

Open donation drop off is available EVERY 4th Sunday at Village Family Food pantry located inside First Calvary Baptist Church 813 Henry Street Norfolk VA 23504  2:00PM -3:00PM (Behind Attucks Theatre)
