LITA introduces volunteers to residents living in long-term care facilities in Marin, planting seeds of friendship. This improves the quality of lives, provides comfort, helps to decrease loneliness and isolation in our older adults. Requirements are minimal to Volunteer with LITA: An interview/orientation, and an ability to commit to visits on a regular basis for a minimum of six month.
