***Attention Blueshirts!!! It's Qurbani season and we need YOUR help!***
On Sunday, June 22, Islamic Relief USA will be working with DFW REFUGEE OUTREACH SERVICES to help with Qurbani distribution. They will be receiving halal meat for distribution from Islamic Relief USA and will be doing special outreach to the local community for this distribution and we will need Blueshirts to help us Monitor & Evaluate the program!
Monitoring and Evaluation Role Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and committed volunteer to support our Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) efforts during a partner distribution event. This role ensures the distribution is effective, accountable, and meets the needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe and document distribution processes to ensure they align with guidelines.
- Conduct short post-distribution surveys or feedback interviews with beneficiaries.
- Assist with data collection, entry, and basic analysis as needed.
- Flag any issues or concerns in real time to the M&E Lead - US Programs Coordinator.
- Support in compiling observations into a brief report or summary - you will be given a Google Doc to fill out and will receive training prior to the distribution.
- Work with the US programs coordinator on the ground with a standard template to learn how to monitor any US program event.
What We’re Looking For:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable interacting with community members.
- Basic understanding of M&E or a willingness to learn.
Impact:
Your contribution will help ensure transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of our partner distribution. The data and feedback you help gather will directly inform improvements and support better outcomes for our community.
Other Volunteer Tasks May Include:
- Assist with the halal meat distribution
- Loading and Off-Loading Meat from truck
- Drive Up and Walk Up assistance
- Registration of Clients Assistance
*Volunteers will need to be able to lift 10-20 pounds of meat
