About this Opportunity
The Volunteer Camp Counselor will assist our NAC camps on a weekly basis (Monday – Friday.) In this role, you will be responsible to help provide a safe, structured environment for campers with varying developmental and physical abilities. Volunteer Camp Counselors will help our full time camp staff to support camp participants to achieve goals in socialization, independence, and personal skills while engaging in adaptive recreation and adventure programming, including indoor and outdoor climbing, paddle sports, water sports, cycling, mountain biking, archery, pickleball, teambuilding, high ropes course, and equestrian activities. You will have more responsibility than volunteer camp assistants and we be expected to support in behavior management and ongoing goal assessments for campers.
You must have CPR/First aid training complete in order to volunteer in this role.
Upon Completion of the training, you must shadow a day of camp before attending a week of camp.
