About this Opportunity
Do you enjoy staying active outdoors? Do you like volunteering and making a direct impact in your community? Are you available on select Saturdays? This might be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Bike for Good program is seeking volunteers to support a community initiative in the City of Alexandria, in partnership with the Old Town Farmers Market. Volunteers will assist by collecting produce items from the market, transporting them by bike, and delivering them to designated community locations, including local churches.
Volunteers will be supported throughout the process, and guidance will be provided—no prior experience is necessary.
Please note: Volunteers are required to bring their own bicycle/helmet, as there will be carts attached to your bikes and loaded with produce for you to transport to the drop-off location.
Activity Schedule:
June 27 – October 31, 2026
(Held once a month on the last Saturday of each month)
Time:
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
If this opportunity sounds like a good fit for you, please feel free to sign up for as many dates as your schedule allows.
