About this Opportunity
This volunteer position is for the 2nd Shift of Interim Housing at JOURNEYS | The Road Home, a homeless services organization in Palatine, IL. Interim Housing is our up-and-coming overnight shelter program. For this shift, volunteers are expected to stay upstairs at a desk in either the men's or women's shelter room or at a desk in the hallway, if that makes them more comfortable. The main duty is monitoring the sleeping spaces. This shift is from 10:45pm-3am. Attending a volunteer training session is required before you can volunteer!
*A security guard will arrive on the premises at 7:30pm and be present until 7:30am.
