JOURNEYS Interim Housing 3rd Shift Volunteer

This volunteer position is for the 3rd Shift of Interim Housing at JOURNEYS | The Road Home, a homeless services organization in Palatine, IL. Interim Housing is our up-and-coming overnight shelter program. For this shift, volunteers are expected to stay upstairs at a desk in either the men's or women's shelter room or at a desk in the hallway, if that makes them more comfortable. They are then expected to wake clients up and escort them back downstairs in the morning. The main duty is monitoring the sleeping spaces. This shift is from 10:45pm-3am. Attending a volunteer training session is required before you can volunteer! 

*A security guard will arrive on the premises at 7:30pm and be present until 7:30am.
