Hugs Training Academy Volunteer

We have expanded Hugs Caf, Inc. to now include Hugs Training Academy; an educational training center for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities seeking employment in the food service and hospitality industries.

As a volunteer of Hugs Training Academy, your role is to support the students as requested bythe Lead Teacher or Teacher Assistant. The purpose of having a volunteer is to provide detailed oversight on the quality of work being performed by the student and to offer prompts and suggestions to encourage the correct performance of the task at hand. During lunch, volunteers sit with the Hugs Training Academy students and socialize.

Training Academy Volunteer Requirement: You must read the Food Handlers Course online and take the test. The website is www.learn2serve.com. You must complete the test successfully BEFORE you begin volunteering.
