Grant Writer

Grace Lake Ministries is looking for a Grant Writer to pursue grant funding to help support the growth of our program. We provide Equine assisted services to people in need of hope and healing in a Christian environment.We have an established grant program that includes a master grant template, access to the Foundation Directory, and many established annual grants. We have done extensive research on grants/foundations that would be a good fit and have an efficient system for tracking grants. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to be mentored by our current Grant Writer.Job responsibilities include conducting the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals.Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Skillful at organization and time management
• Proficient research skills and knowledge of information sources
• Capable of understanding Grace Lake's program and fundraising requirements
• Expert editing skills and attention to detail
• Strong written communication skills: ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
• Able to meet deadlines
• Effective documentation, tracking, and follow up
