Help with blood donation and blood drives - Ann Arbor

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is looking for volunteers to assist blood donors during the donation process.

Tasks Include:
-Greet donors, explain the donation process and assist with initial intake and handoffs through the blood donation process
-Provide customer service to donors in the Hospitality Area by ensuring that each donor is recognized for his/her contribution.
-Report possible adverse post-donation physical reactions to the collections staff.
-May make reminder/cancellation calls, re-schedule donor appointments, and perform follow up activities as directed.
-Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience
-Express gratitude and ensure each blood donor is sincerely thanked for their donation

Time Commitment:Volunteers commit to at least one 6-8 hour shift each month to stay active

Volunteers must be willing to do some online and in-person training for this position.
