Help older adults with vital transportation needs- Washtenaw County

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is looking for volunteers to drive older adults and community members to local appointments, grocery store, or anywhere else they might need. Volunteers are asked to pick one day/week with a window of time that they are available to drive. Volunteers will need to have a smartphone in order to accept or reject rides through an app.

Volunteers are provided with a 1.5 hour training. Volunteers must agree to a background check and driving record check, show proof of vehicle insurance, and a valid driving license.

Volunteers are reimbursed at $0.14 cents per mile both ways of the ride. Volunteers are eligible to receive a $50 gas gift card after completing their first 10 volunteer hours (while supplies last).
