Virtual Tutor

Interested in helping your community members improve their skills from the comfort of your own home or office?

AVirtualTutorhelpsan individual or cluster of adult learners (usually 3-4) improve their reading, writing, math, computer, English language skills, and/or cultural understanding to reach a variety of goals: obtainingbetteremployment, helping a child with homework, understanding government announcements, preparing for a licensing exam, etc. The tutor and learner(s) meet weekly for 1-2 hours at times of their choosing. Basic Literacy and ESL options are available.

Virtual tutorscomplete 3 hours of training, whereyou will learn about various technology platforms and tools available for tutoring, strategies, and resources for virtual tutoring, and how to craft goal-oriented lessons using authentic materials geared towardyour learners' goals, strengths, and technological constraints.
