Are you organized and flexible, and do you like to talk on the phone?

Would you like to be essential to initiating coordinated assistance during times of disaster? If you answered yes to these questions, then the role of DAT Duty Officer might be something that interests you.

DAT Duty Officers dispatch and provide leadership guidance to a Red Cross Disaster Action
Team to meet with the clients who are in need and manage the relief effort.

They assess the situation and deploy the most appropriate resources to support efforts such as

• initial casework;
• recovery planning,
• canteen services,
• sheltering, and
• disaster assessment.
