Host an In-House Event

Description:

We are looking for people who are passionate about what we do, love working as part of a team, and have positive energy and personalities. If this describes you we would be happy for you to become a part of the Halo House team and donate your time and talents to our mission.

At Halo House, there are a lot of things that need to be done answering phones, assisting guests, moving in new residents, pulling weeds, minor repairs, and everything in between. Whether you want to volunteer with a group or just on your own, we have something for everyone.

Qualifications: We are looking for peopleto host fun in-house events for our residents. Your ideasand creativity are welcome! Some event ideas are listed below:

• Game night
  • Bring snacks/refreshments, coordinate time and day, coordinate what games to be played, bring games if halo house cannot provide them
• Provide and serve a dinner for our residents
• Provide and serve a lunch for our residents
• Host a cookie decorating class
• Art host a painting/coloring/scrapbooking/crafting event

Experience you DONT need:Knowledge of blood cancers, knowledge of doctors or other existing housing facilities in the Texas Medical Center, or apartment management experience.
